My anti-rain dance has not been successful around these parts. It’s been coming down all weekend and our patio project is still retaining pond status. Blargh! Good news, though, the weather-induced house arrest put a bee in my bonnet and I went on a deep cleaning spree. Nothing was safe: baseboards, light fixtures, floors, window treatments, laundry piles. I was on a roll and hope to tackle a bit more today between errands and other to-do’s. With the holiday weekend ahead and a seriously jam-packed June this summer is off to a great start. Enjoy these links from around the web this week while I find another thing (or five) to clean!
Happy Mother’s Day to the mamas of the world today! I’ve spent the majority of the day road tripping from Chicago but I’m happy to be back home with my grey dog, Red Head and oodles of projects to keep me busy this afternoon. If you’re winding down this weekend and looking for a distraction, look no further. A gathering of links from around the web this week is below. Enjoy!
Somehow I’ve been avoiding the colds, coughs and allergies that have been floating around this season but, finally, it’s caught me. I woke up with a wicked sore throat this morning and will be chugging water and tea for the rest of the day, if you need me. And am definitely putting soup on the dinner menu you tonight. While I nurse this sore throat, catch up a bit around the house and dive into some good books, enjoy these links from around the web this week.
It’s 11 a.m. and the Erickson household is just starting to stir. Apparently, we were overdue for a lazy morning of watching YouTube clips in bed and staring at our giant dog. Time well spent but now I’m tackling a to-do list of freelance work and endless painting (why do windows and doors take so long to paint?!) on this dreary Sunday. Good news, though, I’ve compiled quite the list of links from around the web this week. Enjoy!
My legs are very sore right now. Sore from a day of working out, tackling various house painting projects and a night of sober dancing. Does this mean I’m getting old? I think it does but I’m going with it. So I’ll sip some Gatorade this morning, do an extra stretch or two and try not to hobble like a complete grandma for the rest of the day. While I do that, you can enjoy these links from around the web this week!
Happy Easter, friends! It’s been a quiet, lazy morning at the Erickson household but we’re gearing up for an afternoon of yard work, basement work, laundry work and freelance work. In the words of Rihanna, work work work work work. If you need a distraction from your family gatherings or your afternoon of work, enjoy the links below from around the web this week.
I’m a day behind schedule around here but look at that list of links! That’s enough to keep you clicking, scrolling and learning from the internet for the rest of the evening. Enjoy!
I am typing this as I put on a coat and run out the door to a birthday party (second one this weekend!). So I’ll keep it brief and leave you with some links from around the web this week. Enjoy!
What a weekend it has been! I had some friends and their misters in town for the last few days and it has been nothing short of wonderful. They were so tolerant of the construction zone we call home, love Minneapolis and didn’t gripe too much when I served them severely under cooked cinnamon rolls this morning. Those are good people, amiright?! Now I’m putzing around the house, listening to this on repeat and trying to get my act together for the week ahead. Enjoy these links from around the web while I muster the strength to do a load of laundry or five.
This daylight savings stuff isn’t really doing it for me. I feel like the morning has already slipped away! I’ll try and type fast so I can get back to painting the dining room (this color!) and enjoying this sunny Sunday. Enjoy, friends!
