Take me back!

This afternoon I’m hitting the road and not stopping until I arrive at Governor Dodge State Park. That location can mean only one thing: annual girls’ camping trip! This is our eighth year of adventures and I’m having a hard time wrapping my head around it. One thing is for sure, though, there will be plenty of onion dip, pretzels, chips, campfires and laughs. Can’t wait!

I mentioned a couple weeks ago that the Red Head and I booked a big trip this fall… a big trip to Morocco!! It’s been on our radar for awhile but we decided to bite the bullet, book tickets and never look back. This October we’ll be spending a week in Casablanca and will explore a couple other cities with day trips. To say we’re excited would be a major, major understatement. So bear with me as I’m pinning Morocco to-do lists and modest fashions, OK? Thanks!

This year is shaping up to be a busy one for the Erickson crew (as if this project wasn’t enough on our plates)! We booked a big trip last night for this fall and I’m only leaving you this image as a little teaser of the destination. More details to come but I will tell you this trip has me absolutely giddy with excitement!

I’m back in the great state of Minnesota after a long weekend in Colorado and what a wonderful weekend it was! Highlights included a visit to the Hot Springs, an evening in Breckenridge, a fresh coat of snow in Keystone, an attempt at snowshoeing, a pass over the Continental Divide, a Big Little Lies binge and quality time with a long-time friend. Weekends like that are good for the soul. Let’s hope that fresh mountain air can carry me through the busy weeks ahead!

My alarm is set for a VERY early time tomorrow but it’s for a great reason. I’m hopping on a plane and visiting the first friend I ever made at Iowa State! We met more than a decade ago and we’ve been long overdue for a weekend of catching up, taking in the mountains and peace. I’m signing off to soak it all up and I’ll catch you next week when I’m back to my normal altitude!

Many moons ago, I studied abroad in Rome and this weekend two of my roomies from that semester adventure are heading to Minneapolis! I am so, so pumped to show these gals the city, sip wine and reminisce while making some St.Patrick’s Day memories. See you on Sunday!

After the weather blunder last weekend I’ve postponed my Chicago trip and am hitting the road this afternoon! I’m ready for 36 hours with family, friends and some serious podcasting on the way there. Catch you Sunday!

Oh my word, a weekend in Florida was just what I needed! The last couple days with best friends, temperatures in the 80s and far too many Piña Coladas has left me feeling rejuvenated (and maybe with a lingering headache). The very full inbox this morning brought me back to Earth pretty quick but I’ll keep scrolling through my sunny pics when I need a little virtual Vitamin D boost!

I’m packing up a weekend bag, dropping of the dog at daycare, picking up some dear friends and hopping on a plane to sunny Florida tomorrow. The timing is perfect and the change of scenery will be very, very welcome. While grey might be my favorite color, I’m ready for some blue skies and green grass. I’ll see you next week, if I ever return!
