After getting rained out a couple weeks ago, the Red Head, some family and I are off to the Twins game tonight! The only thing I MUST have at a Twins game is Angie’s popcorn. I could practically eat a whole bag by myself (and I just might). Fingers crossed for clear skies, fresh popcorn and not too many extra innings (I need to sleep!).

If you follow me on ANY social media channels, you’ve probably seen me pimping out a new cycle studio in Minnetonka that I’m proud to be a part of. If you’re local to the Twin Cities, come ride with us this week for FREE. I’m teaching Friday and Saturday and would love to see some of your faces in the crowd as I blast the music and attempt to work the fancy lights! It’s going to be a good (sweaty) time!

Did you guys know that I love the Olympics? I love them so much that the cartoon-ish nature of the sweaters above appeals to me. Under normal circumstances I would say ‘oh hell NO‘ to that garment but with this patriotic blood pumping through my veins in preparation for the Games, I’m all ‘oh hell YES!’ See what the Olympics do to me? My judgment is clearly being affected. If I did have a boatload of extra income right now, I would splurge on the items below. They would surely help my team bring home the gold, right?

Bum, bum, bum, bum, bum, bum, bum… That’s me humming the Olympic theme song, duh! Who else is excited for the opening ceremonies tomorrow? I’ve got the DVR set and can’t wait to watch the Games during my spin classes. Perfect motivation, right? I was hoping to hold a little opening ceremonies party but our house is in total disarray. I think we’ll shoot for an Olympic party at the 2014 games. Things better be more complete by then! Instead of focusing on the mess, I think snagging a vintage Olympic tee from GAP seems like a good alternative.
Any plans for this evening, my friends? I’m heading out the door shortly to watch my cousin’s baseball game! He plays Little League in my hometown and it’s just the cutest. I dropped him off for a game last week and was only able to watch an inning but the little stud earned himself the game ball with his stellar moves on first base. Can’t wait to see what tonight holds! It’s going to be a scorcher, though. The summer heat has arrived but it’s brought the summer Little League games so it’s a fair trade.
And if I just can’t seem to get my fill of baseball tonight I’m going to a Kane County Cougars game tomorrow (highly recommended if you’re local and looking for some cheap fun). I’ll have more designy-content later this week after the baseball streak has ended, I promise. Until then, batter up!

This Two for Tuesday brings you a little glimpse into my weekend in Minnesota. While the photos may look sunny, please note that there was a wicked cross-wind and an approximate 30 degree temperature drop between the sunny seats and the shaded seats. Thankfully, good company and an incredible ball park outweighed the weather and I had a great time. I’m already counting down the days until I get to go back. And maybe next time, the Twins will even pull out a ‘W’.

I think everyone in the greater Chicago area is watching a Windy City sporting event tonight. First up, the Bulls and Cubs, then a bit later, the Blackhawks. I’m signing off to watch for awhile. Hopefully, my new manicure can survive the stress of it all!
