After getting rained out a couple weeks ago, the Red Head, some family and I are off to the Twins game tonight! The only thing I MUST have at a Twins game is Angie’s popcorn. I could practically eat a whole bag by myself (and I just might). Fingers crossed for clear skies, fresh popcorn and not too many extra innings (I need to sleep!).

Today, the Great Minnesota Get Together began! For the next ten days you can count on folk from all across the state trekking to St. Paul. The forecast is looking great and the Australian Potatoes are calling my name. Can you hear them?!

It’s my favorite weekend of summer, guys! Fourth of July in Minnesota is the best. I’m talking boats, bonfires, booze, sunshine, so many appetizers and usually some patriotic garb. I’m going to soak up every second so I’ll catch you guys next week (can you survive two weekends without a weekend wrap up?!). Enjoy the holiday!

There’s a farmer’s market very, very close to my house but I haven’t been yet. Do you think I could look half this chic schlepping oranges back once I finally make an appearance there?!

The Red Head and I are doing a little staycation this weekend and I’m hoping the newest hotel in town has some serious wallpaper inspiration to fuel my obsession. I’ll report back and keep my eyes peeled at all times, don’t you fret.

Might need to purchase this tonight.

My weekend starts now and I’m ready! There’s a little sporting event in town (ha!) and since I married into a family of golfers the Ryder Cup has become a must-see! I’m donning patriotic gear, grabbing a few cocktails and embracing the country club lifestyle for a few days. After that, it’s back to reality with some more house projects (painting all. the. things.) but a very exciting, spontaneous visit from my mom too! This is going to be a great weekend, I can just feel it. Hope you have the same!

I looked at the calendar the other day and had a slight panic attack. This is the last weekend until mid-September that I’m in town and don’t have major plans. You know what that means? Time to hit the town thrift shops! We’ve got a new (old) house to fill (closing in two weeks!) and I’m on a budget. Let’s hope the bargain gods are good to me this weekend!

It’s here! It’s finally Friday and my cousins are on their way to Minnesota for the best summer holiday in all the land! Plans include boating on Lake Minnetonka, soaking up some serious swimming + sun time, jet skiing, lazy breakfasts, walks to town and some s’more cooking. It’s going to be glorious and I am so, so excited! I’m signing off until Tuesday to enjoy every second. Hope you’re able to unplug and do the same. Have a great and safe Fourth of July!

What a holiday weekend it was! A bit of rain, a lot of sunshine, hours upon hours on Lake Minnetonka, cocktails outside, Game of Thrones viewing with friends, birthday dinners for my Red Head and tons of good times with family and friends. To say it was hard to get up at 5 a.m. this morning to teach cycling would be a gross understatement but I did it and I’m here! And I’m skipping the weekend wrap up. The internet was the least of my concerns these last few days so I don’t have many links to even share. But, the most important news of all, today is my Red Head’s birthday! I’m off to celebrate him and convince him that all the cool 29 year-old’s like to go to bed at 9 p.m. Clearly, I know how to party!
