It’s hard to sum up what life has been like for the last four months. My little loves (nicknamed the bug and the bean) came roaring onto the scene six weeks early, enjoyed a month long stay in the NICU, lived through two blizzards (rude, Minnesota…), met a very skeptical and very large big grey dog and changed everything about our lives. There’s no turning back and we’d never want to. As of April 2, everything is different and we feel oh-so lucky. Thanks for picking us, C&C.

Happy Valentine’s Day, friends! Big plans ahead? Or do you pretend this day doesn’t exist? The Red Head and I have an exciting evening of ‘expecting multiples’ class and probably dinner on the go. I’ll take it! V-Day has never been my fave. Let’s just wish each other a ‘Happy Wednesday’ instead, yeah?

The Red Head and I are calling it an early day today and hitting the road for one of our favorite places, Iowa! Some dear friends are getting hitched and we can’t wait to celebrate. Catch you Sunday!

Despite the traffic jam we experienced yesterday, heading to Chicago this weekend was the perfect post-Black Friday therapy. There was an impressive brunch spread, an abundance of family traditions, an over-used selfie stick and lots of laughs. Also, wine. Plenty of wine. I’m hoping for more of all of those things sooner rather than later and hope you had a wonderful holiday as well!
Shout out to my nephew who snapped this pic with his finger covering half the lens. I love it!

What a holiday weekend it was! A bit of rain, a lot of sunshine, hours upon hours on Lake Minnetonka, cocktails outside, Game of Thrones viewing with friends, birthday dinners for my Red Head and tons of good times with family and friends. To say it was hard to get up at 5 a.m. this morning to teach cycling would be a gross understatement but I did it and I’m here! And I’m skipping the weekend wrap up. The internet was the least of my concerns these last few days so I don’t have many links to even share. But, the most important news of all, today is my Red Head’s birthday! I’m off to celebrate him and convince him that all the cool 29 year-old’s like to go to bed at 9 p.m. Clearly, I know how to party!

Construction season is alive and well in Minneapolis right now, making my commute an adventure every day, to say the least. One thing getting me through, and I’ve casually mentioned it here before, is my new favorite podcast, Dear Sugar Radio. Tune in and listen to Cheryl Strayed (author of Wild) and Steve Almond read listener-submitted letters and discuss the dilemmas described in each. I’m still catching up on previous episodes and have dug every single one. Report back if you have a fave I should skip to!

Hey! Happy International Women’s Day! In the words of my sister (a pretty awesome young woman): you rule, never change.

After a short week in MN, I’m back on the road again bright and early tomorrow morning for another weekend in Chicago! The few days out of state will include a birthday celebration, a city visit, lunch with family, a wedding celebration and, hopefully, some sleep. This old lady and her annoying cold need to catch up on some Z’s. I’ll try and catch you Sunday for a full recap or just follow along in real-time here. Have a good one, friends!
