ebb & flow :: pretty

The message I’m about to give has very little to do with the image above. It has nothing to do with it, actually. But just wanted to drop you a gentle reminder that today is the last day to enter the Oughton Limited giveaway. Hop on over here, if you haven’t already, and enter! Winner will be chosen tomorrow. Good luck and happy ballet dancing! Brought it all together there at the end, wouldn’t ya know.

ebb & flow :: Oughton Limited Giveaway

Growing up I earned myself the nickname ‘Bag Lady.’ I rarely left home without a bag – any bag would do – that was bursting at the seams with toys, books and trinkets. The same rings true today (as you know I just found a multitude of items when cleaning out my purse) so I love finding new bags to add to my ever-growing collection. That’s where Oughton Limited comes in. At first glance, I was drawn to their textures, colors and the quality of their materials. Their weekend totes look like they can handle some wear and tear and their accessories have just the right amount of detail. And, lucky for you, they’re giving you a piece to add to your own collection!

Giveaway: Novica

ebb & flow :: Novica giveaway

We are long overdue for a giveaway around these parts and Novica has delivered! I’m sure you’re familiar with the awesome National Geographic brand that sells artisan goods from around the world. They have everything from hammocks to margarita glasses, dresses and table lamps, and I was recently lucky enough to acquire some jewelry to call my own. My right hand now dons the ‘Eagle Honor’ ring from Ghana and I’m also digging the ‘Morning Light’ bangle from India I ordered. As always, they arrived quickly in beautiful packaging with handwritten notes from the artists. The best part about the company, though, is that you have a chance at making some Novica goods your own as well! Novica is offering one winner a $50 gift card to use on any purchase on their site! Simply, leave a comment below telling me your favorite item from the site and I’ll contact the randomly chosen winner next Monday. Can’t wait to see what you have your eye on. Good luck!

UPDATE: Congratulations to Leah! Check your email, my dear.

Novica Giveaway

July 4, 2012

For as long as I can remember my brother had a subscription to National Geographic Magazine. The yellow spines were always lining bookshelves throughout our house growing up and I remember being fascinated by the content, even when it was over my head. There’s something about the National Geographic images, though, that speak to every age. Nostalgia aside, I was thrilled with the fine folks at Novica reached out to me for a blog giveaway. Just a couple minutes on their site and I knew we’d be a good fit.

I was lucky enough to receive this Alpaca blend throw from Peru and, despite the 100 degree temperatures right now, it’s been a beautiful addition to our new home. For me, I find that the best part of receiving a gift is the packaging and Novica did not disappoint. The throw was wrapped in layers of tissue paper and a bold red wrapping paper. Topped with a bow, a handwritten note and a little Peruvian figure, it was almost too pretty to open, but even finer craftsmanship was found inside.

I could go on and on about my gift from Novica but I think it’d be much more fun to share with you! So, comment below for your chance at a $50 gift card from Novica. You can spend it on anything you’d like in their shop and, trust me, there is plenty to choose from. There’s the unique Batik collection, men’s cotton shirts and women’s dresses and beautiful silver link bracelets, just to name a few items. I’m partial to home goods right now since I have home ownership on the brain, but the choice is yours! Good luck and be sure to check back next week to see the lucky winner.

Giveaway: Saffron Marigold

March 20, 2012

One of the best things about blogging is being introduced to new companies. Being relatively new to Minneapolis, I’m still discovering the shopping gems scattered among the lakes so I’ve been relying heavily on online vendors introduced to be via the blog world. Saffron Marigold is one of those very companies. When I first visited their site I was reminded of the table runner I bought while in Budapest and knew I would definitely find some other pieces for my wish list.

While I fight the urge to stock up on table cloths (for a kitchen table, kitchen, dining room and dining table that I don’t even own!) I figured I might as well share the love. So, comment below for your chance to win the Ruby Kilim tablecloth! And for an extra chance to win, bop on over and like Saffron Marigold on Facebook. Just be sure to let me know you did, so I can tally you up for another entry. You have until Sunday, March 25 to enter. Best of luck!

UPDATE: Congratulations, Melissa! Check your inbox to claim your prize! Thanks to everyone for entering.

So I’ve decided to brighten your day just a bit. In the spirit of giving this holiday season, I’ve teamed up with the lovely ladies over at Shabby Apple to giveaway this Kanani dress! Shabby Apple, an online boutique, is bursting with all sorts of sartorial good-ness and this dress is no exception. I’m a big fan of pieces that can carry you through the seasons (which we know and love up here in Minnesota) and I can picture the Kanani dress with tights, a scarf and boots during the colder times or a pair of sandals during the warm months. The possibilities are endless.

For your chance to win the Kanani dress simply leave a comment below. I will randomly select a winner next Wednesday, December 14. If you’d like to stay up-to-date on all of the Shabby Apple happenings, be sure to Like them on Facebook. Good luck!
