If you’ve been around here awhile you know that I often go on, what I call, ‘spending freezes.’ Just as it sounds, a spending freeze is a money-spending hiatus. This practice began last year with my New Year’s resolution to make thoughtful purchases. I found that holding the funds back really helped me evaluate the worthiness of a purchase. With wedding planning in full swing I’m feeling like I may need to go on a semi-permanent spending freeze. I mean, have you seen the cost of venues? It’s killing me! But everyone now and and then an item comes along that has me reaching for my wallet, like Sombrero Sheets from Anthropologie. Something about those tassels calls to me. But I’ve been repeating, ‘Spending freeze. Spending freeze. Spending freeze.’ over and over in my head all day and am attempting to rise above. Will one of you buy them and invite me over for a night so I get my fill. Please?
