Are you ready for an ice breaker?
You’ve stumbled upon the website of a person who is afraid of squirrels, has never been to a Denny’s restaurant and has no problem drinking a Diet Coke (or two) at five in the morning.
That’s me, Elissa Erickson.
A name that is better suited for a NASCAR driver than a designer.
Confessions aside, I’m so glad you found me and my internet home! After 25 years of calling Chicagoland home I packed my belongings (the largest of which was a vintage library card catalog) and moved to Minnesota. The Land of 10,000 Lakes has lived up to its reputation of being kind, creative and cold. I am thankful for two of the three.
During the day you can find me at Metro Transit working as a Graphic Design Supervisor and in the evenings, I’m usually riding a spin bike, blogging, working alongside the fine folks at Faucethead, tackling house projects with my husband, chasing my twin daughters around or convincing my 95-lb pup that he’s really not a lap dog.
I also have a soft spot for good books, good food and good people so I’d love to learn more about you! You’ve heard my embarrassing admissions already so drop me a line. Maybe you’re afraid of squirrels too and you want to start a support group? Or maybe you’re interested in collaborating in a Denny’s at odd hours over a Diet Coke? Both sound wonderful to me so let’s chat!
